Proposal Submissions
Upcoming changes in operation at Erica Popp Studios + Gallery:
We are making some changes in how we do things here. We want to renew our focus on what really drives us: helping emerging artists. We will now be offering short term exhibitions along with the professional services we already provide for our artists for a flat fee and with an additional educational component. This provides clarity in the services that a gallery provides and allows the artist to keep all of their sales. Sales of work are encouraged, but in our new flat fee format the artist may also choose to exhibit work that is not for sale.
Our 400 square foot gallery is the perfect size for an artist’s first solo exhibition or for more experienced artists to try new installation ideas. The space features two movable 8 foot walls that can be utilized or tucked away, depending on the artist's work and preferences. Our artists receive excellent press, and exhibitions are highly attended.
We welcome proposals from emerging artists in all media for solo, two-person, and small group exhibitions. The artists that exhibit with us have a deep understanding of contemporary art, culture, and craft. If you have never been to our gallery please consider attending an event before submitting a proposal to get a better sense of the size of the space and of the kind of work we show. We especially encourage women, minority, and LGBTQ artists to apply.
Our exhibition space is now available for a weekly rental fee. This fee includes use of the space for your solo exhibition or curated group exhibition, a professionally-designed exhibition card, and mentoring as you prepare. Artist may provide refreshments if desired. Your exhibition will be featured on our website, Facebook page, and Instagram, and shared with our professional contacts. Artist is responsible for any gallery hours outside of the opening reception. Artist handles all of their own sales and is responsible for paying any applicable city and state sales tax. Erica Popp Studios + Gallery will not collect a commission.
